天体計測学特論 II : 電磁波による宇宙観測の手法

[IGPAS] Observational Astronomy II : Astronomical observation with electromagnetic waves

宇宙の観測において、天体からの信号を測定する基礎原理を理解し、現在の観測における限界を把握することを目的とする。後半には赤外線とX線観測装置の開発を進めてきた専門家による観測技術の紹介を行う。

Understand principles of measurements of astronomical signals, and associated uncertainty of the measurements.

  • 可視赤外線の検出器 / Detectors for optical and infrared observations

  • 可視赤外線分光器の構成 / Components in the optical and infrared spectrographs
  • 面分光観測 / Integral field spectroscopy
  • 撮像観測の信号と雑音 / Signal and noise in the imaging observations
  • 分光観測の信号と雑音 / Signal and noise in the spectroscopic observations
  • 多波長観測の基礎 / Basics in the multi wavelength observations

目的 / Goals :

  • 望遠鏡や観測装置の基本的な構成について理解すること。
  • 可視光、赤外線、X線波長分野における宇宙観測の原理について理解すること。
  • Understand the basic components of telescopes and observational instruments.
  • Understand the method of astronomical observations in the optical and infrared wavelength.

天文学の可視/近赤外線の観測について、最近の実例も含めて配布資料を用いて紹介しながら理解を深める。随時レポート課題を出し、レポートの内容で評価する。

Fundamentals of optical and infrared observations in astronomy will be discussed following the contents with recent progress in the field. Discussions will be made in slides, report assignment will be made based on each block of lectures. Grading will be decided based on report assignment.
