Getting to Hiraizumi

The easiest ways to get to the workshop place are
1. fly to Tokyo Narita or Tokyo Haneda Airport
take JR or Keisei line to get to the JR Tokyo or Ueno Station
take JR Tohoku Shinkansen to get to the Ichinoseki station
take a TAXI to Hotel MUSAHIBO
2. fly to Sendai Airport
take JR line to the JR Sendai Station
take JR Tohoku Shinkansen to get to the Ichinoseki station
take a TAXI to Hotel MUSAHIBO
You may also use JR line from Ichinoseki to Hiraizumi,
then take a TAXI.
Other route
The nearest airport to Hiraizumi is the Hanamaki Airport.
So, there may be connections such as,
- fly to Fukuoka Airport, then fly to Hanamaki Airport, then take JR Tohoku
line to Hiraizumi station
- fly to Osaka Airport , then fly to Hanamaki Airport, then take JR Tohoku
line to Hiraizumi station

Shinkansen is the super express train, which connects the cities in Japan.
Tohoku Shinkansen runs through the Tohoku region of the Honshu island.
There are two types of the cars of Tohoku Shinkansen.
"Hayate" : The faster car. It stops only at Tokyo, Ueno, Omiya, Sendai, Morioka.. and NOT at Ichinoseki
All the seats should be reserved before boarding (no non-reserved
seat).
"Yamabiko" : "local" Shinkansen which stops at many
Shinkansen stations. You have to check which car stops at Ichinoseki.
There are some non-reserved sheets
From Tokyo station to Ichinoseki station, the fastest way is to
take Hayate from Tokyo to Sendai and change to take Yamabiko from Sendai
to Ichinoseki,
but you can also
take Yamabiko fromTokyo to Ichinoseki
